I had just recently had an altercation with someone about the usage of my photos, and I do not wish to have another.  This post is in no way directed at the person, as it is done and over, but this was written for future references. Incase it wasn't clear to some of you, I am not a stock photographer. I do not want people to use my work or post my work anywhere without my consent. If you feel you really want to use my work, you need to ask me, wait for me to give you permission, link me the photo and cite me in the photo, I don't care if it's for personal usage or if it's going on here. If you are basing a photo or painting off my work, please say "Based off of _________ By AutumnCayleigh" in the info, and link me to it. As artists, I'm sure all of you can understand my viewpoint and would hate to see this happen to you, so please just follow these, because it's a legal issue, and legal actions are able to be taken for copyright infringement, although I don't like taking it to that step. So all of you guys, please know this, please don't steal my work let alone anyone else's, and remember to always do these steps, it's common courtesy at the least.

Wow! Thank you everyone, FIVE THOUSAND views!! I think that's amazing. I've been here a year, and I just love all of the support all my friends and "fans" have given me the past year. You've all boosted my confidence and made me feel more comfortable about my work and the things to come in the near future. Thank you, all of you. From my usual viewers, to the people who just click around and get here. I feel really blessed to meet all of you and have talked to every one of you at some point or another, so again, thank you!

I wish each and every one of you the best in 2011, and I can't stress this enough: Thank you!!

Alright everyone, I haven't written any journals in a while now. Sorry about that, but last night I went to a concert. Being that I had my camera, I was able to get front and right stage, as the more experienced photographers beat me to front and center. I tried to get good shots, I'm unsure of the results, but I know I have a couple decent ones I should be uploading either tonight or tomorrow.

September, 2011, I will be doing my first art show. I will be bringing prints with me, and there will be many other artists, 100 or more expected. I will be bringing my photo prints with me, and just trying to get my name out there. For details, please message me about the exact date, times, and location, as I don't want to put myself at risk to whomever reads this (other than my "fans"). Also, I NEED YOUR HELP with figuring out which prints to bring with me! Please message me, comment me, or just let me know your favorites and what you think I'll have a chance at being able to sell and make myself look professional, being at my young age, I probably won't be taken seriously showing up to one of this events with more well known artists being there.

Well everyone, I took a week long vacation to Disney World in Florida. It was a 17 hour drive down, and I haven't been here in a whole week O_O
Anyway, I'd like to thank all of you who have been favoriting my work, commenting, and adding me to your watches. Usually, I thank everyone personally and separately, but I had over 50 notifications when I logged on, I'm really sorry, but I want you all to know how much any bit of support you give me is appreciated

This is awful! This is tragic! My membership is ending soon! Gasp! Someone who loves my art should buy me a new one.... just a suggestion ;)

Alright, so I haven't really said anything new or great lately. I've been really busy working down at the store, so I haven't had much of an opportunity to take anything new or brief you. I took a few new photos, which I hope to upload around...Monday? I'm also bringing my camera to the store with me to see if I can get anything there. I plan to get some pictures, see what happens. The town the store is in is absolutely stunning. It's the Smithville Village, all the buildings were actually moved from across the country and arranged. Each building is from a different time, some even dating back to the 1700's! I have taken a few photos there before, but I need to get my game face on, take some more, and make it worth while. Any of you guys been to Smithville? It's in New Jersey, about 20 minutes north of Atlantic City. It has about 80 shoppes, restaurants, and even lodging on site. The stores they put there are very highly selected, so be sure to road trip down if you aren't from the area. But, anyway enough of my sneaky in-journal advertising, I'll be getting more photos up as soon as I can. If anyone has tips/suggestions/comments, DO NOT hold back from telling me! Thanks lovies!

Journal Entry: Wed Jun 16, 2010, 5:20 PM

Well, I'm assuming that someone decided to give me a premium membership, as it extends for four weeks. I'm not sure who did or if it was an error on the websites part, but if you gave me it, it isn't showing, but I'd really like to thank you for it. And, if it was you, and you read this, can you send me a note so I can properly thank you?

Thanks Anonymous Gifter :]

Never heard of autism? Check out the Wikipedia page for a brief explanation: [link]

Well, about five years ago, my brother Mikey was diagnosed with autism, he was only two years old, and they told us that he'd never be able to speak, communicate, or function as a normal child should. It really was a challenge with Mikey, we all had to sit down and learn a bit of sign language, and we had to learn to cope with some of his "odd" behaviors. He would take his toys and arrange them in a line all around the house, in a certain precise pattern, mess it up, he'd SCREAM. Aside from the behaviors, he's come a long way. He never shuts up, and he's even gotten mainstreamed  in school. He's really into calendars, cars, trains, languages, and crossword puzzles. We made a calendar with a list of everyone in our family and friend group's birthdays on it. He was able to memorize the birthday, day of the week it fell on, whose birthday it was, and even how old you'd be if you told him the year! He also tries to teach himself new languages, and he picks them up really well. Another thing, did I mention that he only just turned seven years old?

As for my step brother, Sean, he was diagnosed with autism about three years ago, at the age of seven. Before being diagnosed with this, around the age of three or four (my father hadn't met his mother yet, so I'm not entirely sure of the exact age,) he had been diagnosed with ADHD- Attention Deficiency Hyperactive Disorder. While the autism has it's own affects on a person, the ADHD does too, and when they get combined, a lot of things can happen. For Sean, he takes focalin during the day, and melatonin before he goes to bed. There is a time in the middle of the medications where he will crash and become extremely moody, and the slightest thing will make him have a fit. These fits are especially hard because if they happen in a store, people just think you're an awful parent/sibling/relative because the disorder isn't apparent until you get to know the personality of the person, then you can notice something is a bit off. And then another thing you have to deal with in the store, the way people look at you and snicker and laugh, then sometimes you can even hear the remarks of "oh, that child is so bad!" and listening to them make remarks about how much a bad parent/relative you are. It's really hypocritical to do that, being that their child is sitting there laughing at someone's for a disorder they have no control over.

People who make fun of autistic people need to face the facts: the odds of autism now have increased to 1:110 in the United States alone! And this number has jumped significantly prior to last years numbers, of 1:150 people in the US having autism. This disorder is growing, and we need to find out why; we won't just take an educated guess at what's causing it, we need to know an EXACT answer. So please, take the time to educate someone else about Autism, especially with such an increase, there hasn't been a more important time to raise awareness for this.

Well, I was just DYING to see Tim Burton's version of Alice in Wonderland. I saw it in 3D with my Dad, my friend Tori, and my Dad's friend Melissa. It was beyond amazing. I loved every part, and I think he did it absolutely perfect. The music in it was amazing, as well as the actors and combination. Any Tim Burton+Johnny Depp+Danny Elfman combination never fails me. They usually do a lot of collaborations together, this being one of their best works. The Almost Alice soundtrack, with songs inspired by the movie used at the end credits of the real movie, was equally amazing. Another good thing about all of this, the DVD release date is going to be cut into almost half the time as majority of movies. Anyone else see it yet? What are your thoughts about the movie?

---

I've decided I need to get back out there a lot with my photography. I'm going to start just going for any shot I see, and try to step away from my comfort zone to get these shots. I want to try and create photos no one else has thought of or done before, see the beauty in the abnormal, and just see what will happen. I will be doing these crazy shots, but I'll also do some of the "usual" one's I've been taking. Anyone have any suggestions? I also would love critiques on my work to know what I can do to make it better next time. So, please, if you've got any advice, give it here!

That's right. I'm looking for any photographers/poets to add to my personal website. It's a nonprofit site, and it's going to be used to show off the work of teenagers ages 13-19 that are interested in doing so. It's a very new site, and I'm hoping that your submissions can help populate it. I figured it'd be a fun way for teens to talk to other photographers actually in our age group and inspire others with their work. To submit any type of work, just message me or email me at AutumnCayleigh@aim.com

The website URL is
www.autumncayleigh.webs.com

I really hope you guys can join, even if not in the age group, to help comment and critique some of the works. All the support is much appreciated (:

Happy Thanksgiving to all the American dA users out there that happen to stumble upon this! I hope everyone's had a great holiday and is getting ready for Christmas! I plan on getting my Nikon Coolpix L100 for Christmas, so I'll be able to take much better shots with more features than the ones I have. I need to get out and get some more photography, so I'll be taking more pretty soon, I'll keep everyone posted. Anyone wanna share holiday plans? Anyone going out on Black Friday? I am. At midnight. Bring it shoppers.

Don't you just love when...

Journal Entry: Thu Nov 12, 2009, 12:12 PM
You spend hours working your best on something, and no one makes any notice of it? Yet when you spend all of 5 minutes on one thing, everyone thinks it's an amazing masterpiece?
Happened to me today. I had a history assignment, you could draw a picture, write a poem, make a movie poster, or write an essay. I decided to write a poem. I write the poem off the top of my head one day, last minute, JUST before it's due. I give it to my teacher, she makes no note of anything. A week or so later (today) she pulls me aside and says "About your poem, you did good on it, got 100, but I want to put it into Reflections*." I just sort of gave her a half smile, and said okay. I did pretty much the worst on it, yet she thinks it's my best. I showed her some other poems I've done that I thought were good, and she thought they pretty much sucked. Happen to anyone else?

* Reflections is a magazine my school produces at the end of the year. We gather a ton of poetry, short stories, photography, and artwork and put it all together. I'm one of 5 editors throughout the school that does it.

Well, I got a new kitten. She's a calico, and I've named her Nutmeg. She's gray with pretty brown and gold undertones, and she's a real sweetheart. She's very nutty, and she thinks she's a spider-monkey. She jumps about 4 feet onto my desk, and chases the cursor when I try to move it to click on things. She likes being pet, and she's pretty much always purring. Any similar cats out there?

I just finished watching the movie Saw VI. It wasn't too awful. I thought they could've done better though. So far my favorite movies of that series are Saw II and Saw V. I was also going to see Paranormal Activity but I heard it wasn't good at all, then others said they had nightmares. I don't know. Anyone seen it? Review it? Thanks.

The seasons have been ridiculous around here. Fall never quite happened, just sorta got all pretty and bright, then everything just became dead. I hate that. Fall has got to be the prettiest, most vibrant season. All the colors, the weather, the fashion, the scenery, just gorgeous. And it never even happened. It got half green, half red, and basically died after that. I'm fairly upset I haven't had the opportunity to get out and take more shots. Half the reason being my camera's battery totally died on me, and that the weather has been awful. Either raining every day, or the scenery looks dead, or I can never get the look I'm going for. Anyone else having this problem lately? Feel free to tell me ALL about it...

Watermarks

I really think that the watermarks are helpful. Even if you aren't a popular artist/photographer, someone else can easily just copy-save image as, and re-post your image claiming it's theirs. I've seen it happen to people before, and I'm not that good, successful, popular, or anything like that yet, and who knows if I'll ever be,  but I still don't want people stealing my work. Anyone else agree? If you guys actually read something I write, I wanna see a comment, post, something, anything!

FPAC

FPAC stands for the Fine and Preforming Arts Academy. They have amazing programs for high school students. Kal Penn was a member of it up until his senior year (he's the guy that constantly smokes pot in the Harold and Kumar movies). Another actor from Guiding Light was on it. I plan to go out for it not for Acting or Dance, but for Entertainment Technology. There's two subdivisions in there; audio technology and video technology. Basically, it's music and video production. I'm a musician and I've been busting my arse trying to get into it! They pick 24 students out of probably close to 100 applicants for that division only. The amounts of applications for these schools are ridiculous; the amounts submitted and the amount you need to fill out. You have to fill out at least 6 papers. Plus there's an audition/interview. And only 60 students get picked out of around 300 applicants yearly. If anyone's heard of this program, or been accepted to it, please tell me how you did it!

Alright, since no one can think of names for my contest, I'm just gonna have to cancel it. The problem there is that when you only get 5 entries, you really don't have much to decide on. I'm just going to have some friends get together and slam their heads together on this one. But, if you have any good ideas, I'll still take them into consideration.

About the Literary Arts Magazine:
It's a magazine my school yearly puts out. We take the students artwork, photography, poetry, and short stories. I am one of 5 editors for it this year, and I'm also submiting some of my works into it.

So any questions on anything, come ask!

Alright listen up! I'm going to extend the contest out longer, I NEED MORE ENTRIES. We need more ideas for song titles, I've only been given 5 ideas! Come on people! Also being extended cause I was offline for half the contest, and it's not really fair. Well, go crazy on your song title ideas, and let me know what you people can come up with!

New Deadline: Saturday, October 17, 2009.

Thanks guys! To give the titles, just comment me anywhere, or message me! No double names (using the same ones other people did, otherwise they get credit) please!

Alright, here goes. I'm having a contest to name a song I wrote. The deadline is September 26th; two weeks from today. The rules are that they must be in by the deadline date, and that you can't post someone else's title, claiming it's yours. Otherwise, I'll take it you're just giving them like a thumbs up, thus, they'd get all the credit for the title, not the double poster. If you guys win, I'll tag you in the song, obviously I'll use your title, and I'll also have you mentioned in my journal, with a little congratulations kinda thing, all that fun stuff. I'm looking for something that makes sense, and it doesn't have to be an excerpt of the song as the title, just as long as it relates in a way.

Alright, next topic. I might have a few contests for other things, like poetry, photography, and probally another song. I am NOT very good at naming things like these; not my thing. I have a poem in progress that needs naming, and also I'm planning on taking a trip to the Manasquan Reservoir soon, to get some new photography and just go for a nice walk, it's 5 miles around, so I'll walk it with a friend. Alright, well thanks for reading, I'll write more again pretty soon! Any questions or comments, feel free to ask.

Well, today was the first day of school. On the bus ride there, I found out a lot of my friends are on my bus this year (finally). When I got to school, I found out a lot of my friends are in the same classes as me, and I also found out which class I was in by sitting in the wrong science class for about 20 minutes before he told me I didn't belong there. I was pretty embarassed, but laughed the whole time. I figured out that I'll be staying after school a few times this year; I'll be doing Jazz Band in December, editing the school's Reflections literary art magazine, and quite possibly the International Club again this year. I also found out that my Spanish teacher speaks in English one time in the whole class, great year I'm gunna have! I'll definately need my friends in Argentina and Spain to help me out there a little...

I also learned that the district decided to get late buses again; they come at 4:00pm. Most of the clubs end at 3:15 though, in which the buses won't be doing much for me. The teachers I have are really cool, especially the Social Studdies teacher, and the Algebra teacher is funny. She kept talking about the challenges we'll be facing later on in the duration of the year, and then she also told us in order to go to Geometry next year, we need to pass the class, a midterm, a final, and a state given exit test. Fabulous, right?! But, we have to take them because we're 8th graders taking a High School course, and majority of students in my grade are in Pre-Algebra this year.

Anyway, I'm REALLY happy that I got the elective I chose (I don't find out the second untill the second half of the school year), obviously I picked Art. I chose Music as my other elective, but the odds of me getting in there are pretty out there, because everyone I knew picked Music. I'm also a lil aggrivated, because a few people I absolutely can NOT stand are in my Art class. I'll just suck it up and deal with it though, but so far the class is pretty fun. The teacher is really nice, a little out there, but most of us are too. This year we're going to make gargoyles in art class :D I know we also end up doing this 2 point drawing thing where it's 3-D and such, I don't really like the drawings cause I have no talent, but it's still a fun class to be in.

We also have the latest lunch period, and all of the teachers from my team (each grade is seperated into teams (grade)1, 2, and 3) last year aside from one teacher, have either retired or were there on a temporary fill-in. But the social studdies teacher last year is there, and he was really cool, so I'll need to interrupt his class one day. We also pranked each other back and forth in his class, and he never would get mad with us, and we were also picking on each other, which is always fun. Speaking of pranks, today in Algebra this kid decided to take a bathroom break, so we all deicded to pull the wool over his eyes and say that we had a TON of homework, and we got him back when he came in by saying he had to take a zero for leaving the class after she'd mentioned that you shouldn't take breaks during Algebra, or you get lost with all of the concepts.

Also, we ended up going through millions and millions of papers on stupid regulations everyone knows. And then, they have the nerve to call themselves eco-friendly at my school. They recycle, yet the amount of wasted paper they use on stupid work sheets and handouts is ridiculous. Alright, well I think I've bored everyone enough now :D
Thank you for reading though, if you actually did :D :D

Well, I thought I'd finally put this thing to use. I think I'll write in here about everything; daily life, photography, poetry, music, all the things I'm currently working on, and so on. I'll try to write in here on a weekly basis, or every other week. I think I may even elaborate on my "About Me" section in here, instead of on the main page. The reason I've joined dA, is because a few friends of  mine suggested posting my photography, song lyrics, and poetry somewhere, and I figured I could definately use the critism of other people, if I ever want to get somewhere with any of the listed things. I've just started with photography last November-ish, and I've been writing for years, usually just simple short stories and haiku poetry. My hobbies are:
~Photography~Writing~Singing~Music(Playing & Listening to it)~Reading~Sketching~Making Jewelery~Spending Time With Friends~Traveling~
I've been as far north as Upstate New York, as far south as Florida and The Bahamas, and as far west as Pennsylvannia. The furthest east has to be one of the states on the East Coast, but currently I live in New Jersey. Some instruments I can partcially play are:
~Bass Guitar~Acoustic Guitar~Piano~Violin~
Bass is what I'm best at (Musically), and I can sing half decently. My personality is pretty quirky. Sometimes I can be REALLY lost in thought, waaaaay out there, and quiet, then other times I can be the most wild, funloving, outgoing person around. I'm usually a pretty kind person, unless you give me a reason why I shouldn't be. I also have a good sense of humour, though most people don't understand the way I express some of my comedy. I can be sarcastic a lot, and I really like shocking the "normal" groups of people. I don't blend in with crowds, because I simply don't feel a need to. I like dressing differently, and playing with hairdye. I can be often found wearing corsets and skinny jeans, and converse high tops. My favorite hair color I've done (I've done the ENTIRE rainbow & then some) would have to be Manic Panic's Vampire Red. I like getting new piercings, and I'm hoping to get either my monroe or my nose pierced in the future. I'm really open to other cultures and styles of people, and I like learning about them and meeting the new people. I'm usually a helpful kind of person if anyone ever needed a shoulder to cry on. I'm the kind of person that would see a stranger crying, and go up trying to randomly comfort them. I also have four parents (Step parents and birth parents) as well as four siblings. I have two brothers, Sean(9) and Mikey(6), that are both diagnosed with Autism. It's a mental disorder, and most people don't really understand what it's all about. I also have two sisters, Maddy(4) and Ashleah(7). Maddy and Mikey live in the same house as me, Mom, and Mikey(Step Dad), while Sean and Ashleah live with Dad and Stephanie(Step Mom). I think I gave you guys enough information on me there, and I appreciate any of you that actually read this :D
